Job Duties:

  • Provide instruction to students enrolled in the Automotive Service Technician (AST) program.
  • Design and implement a student-centered learning environment using an outcome-based approach in either a face-to-face or online delivery mode.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures, and demonstrations using principles of adult learning.
  • Develop new curriculum, training aids, and materials as needed.
  • Use digital tools proficiently, including typical architectural software and general office applications.
  • Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using varied instructional methods.
  • Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
  • Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
  • Be responsive to accommodation of special learning needs, including equity groups and diverse learners.
  • Develop working relationships with external partners and employers, supporting students in work experience where required.
  • Pursue professional development to stay current with employer and educational requirements.
