Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Moose Jaw Campus seeks an Instructor for Architectural Technologies (Casual 2026-2027). The successful candidate will teach courses in Architectural Technologies and bring recent AutoCAD Revit experience or project management/contract administration to the classroom.

You will design outcomes-based lessons, use digital tools, mentor students, and collaborate with industry partners to reflect diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or related field.
• Member of or eligible for membership/certification with IDAS, SAA, APEGS or TPS, at a P. Tech. level.
• Five years of experience, two years in related industry.
• Effective instructional ability.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Experience with drafting software, graphic or visualization software, the internet, MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students enrolled in the Architectural Technologies program.
• Design and implement a student-centered learning environment using an outcome-based approach in either a face-to-face or online delivery mode.
• Prepare and deliver lessons, lectures and demonstrations using principles of adult learning.
• Develop new curriculum, training aids, and materials as needed.
• Use digital tools proficiently, including typical architectural software and general office applications.
• Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using varied instructional methods.
• Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
• Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
• Be responsive to accommodation of special learning needs, including equity groups and diverse learners.
• Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.
• Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements.
• Mentor students related to educational opportunities, industry expectations, and career goals.
• Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.
• Attend program and school meetings.
