Your Opportunity:
As a Seniors’ Health Instructor – Clinical Educator in a regionalized department, you will be responsible for providing education to staff in Central Zone. Your responsibilities include developing, coordinating, facilitating, and delivering education as required. You will partner with clinical educators from other portfolios and healthcare professionals to develop and facilitate clinical education across portfolios. Travel to multiple sites within the zone is required.
Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator supporting nursing staff and the multidisciplinary clinical team. You will lead in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating education for nursing staff, including orientation, compulsory, and continuing education, as well as clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational, and evidence-informed practice. You will play a vital role in ensuring safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care while reflecting AHS's shared vision and values.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of rural nursing experience, with at least 2 years recent experience in Home Care and/or LTC
- Strong knowledge of CCHSS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with an adult focus in healthcare
- Previous training as a Connect Care Superuser
