A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Seniors’ Health Instructor – Clinical Educator to deliver essential education for nursing staff in Central Zone. This role involves collaboration with clinical educators and healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have significant nursing experience and a strong educational background.
Your Opportunity:
As a Seniors’ Health Instructor – Clinical Educator in a regionalized department, you will be responsible for providing education to staff in Central Zone. Your responsibilities include developing, coordinating, facilitating, and delivering education as required. You will partner with clinical educators from other portfolios and healthcare professionals to develop and facilitate clinical education across portfolios. Travel to multiple sites within the zone is required.
Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator supporting nursing staff and the multidisciplinary clinical team. You will lead in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating education for nursing staff, including orientation, mandatory and continuing education, and clinical development. Collaboration with management and internal partners will be essential to promote standards of clinical, educational, and evidence-informed practice. You will play a vital role in ensuring safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care, aligned with AHS's shared vision and values.

Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
- Minimum 5 years rural road-based nursing experience, including at least 2 years in Home Care and/or LTC.
- Strong knowledge of CCHSS.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (considering education and experience).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of adult-focused teaching experience in healthcare.
- Prior training as a Connect Care Superuser.
