Job Description | 1. Supervise library technician(s) within in the instruction department. 2. Develop and maintain online learning materials for the library with an understanding of learning management systems, Open Education Resources initiatives, LibGuides, digital repositories, and innovative digital tools. 3. Design collaborative material for librarians with instruction duties, including Instructional Resource modules, tutorials, and interactive content for library instruction and course offerings. 4. Teach undergraduate LIB1000 (3 Credit) semester classes and library instruction sessions using the Association of College and Research Libraries Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education. 5. Assess instruction services, and activities within the scope of online learning by writing reports, and data analysis. 6. Promote the library instruction department with active campus communication, online content creation, marketing materials, resource tutorials, and student programing. 7. Represent the library department as a campus leader collaborating in methods of retention through orientations, admissions events, student programming of first year, transfers, and graduate students. 8. Maintain active research and learning within the profession. 9. Provide flexible late night and weekend coverage for outreach and campus initiatives. 10. Work will include occasional weekend reference services face-to-face and online. This position is Mandatory Personnel. Employees whose presence has been determined to be mandatory to University operations during certain types of adverse weather or emergency events. |
