Job description

On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for an Instructional Designer (Level 1) to join our Client's team on a contract basis. This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Vancouver, BC.
Summary of the Role

The Instructional Designer will collaborate with subject matter experts to develop SAP training materials including decks, job aids, and videos. The successful candidate will support content development using SAP Enable Now, Camtasia, and Articulate RISE, with a focus on designing effective learning materials that adhere to adult education principles.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Assess training needs and develop instructional materials including course outlines, modules, and technical documentation.
  2. Design user-friendly manuals and performance measurement tools.
  3. Apply adult learning principles to create engaging and effective training content.
  4. Support curriculum development for both in-person and remote delivery formats.
  5. Coordinate multiple projects to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Core Requirements
  1. Minimum 4 years of instructional design experience (or 6 years without a degree but with relevant certification).
  2. Proficiency in SAP Enable Now, Camtasia, and Articulate RISE.
  3. Strong understanding of adult learning methodologies.
  4. Ability to create comprehensive training materials and technical documentation.
  5. Experience developing eLearning content for asynchronous and synchronous delivery.
Desired Skills & Experience
  1. Background in supply chain management or utilities.
  2. Experience in training delivery.
  3. Knowledge of evaluation and assessment methodologies.
  4. Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  5. Familiarity with Articulate Storyline 3.
Terms

This is a 6-month contract opportunity. The role requires working onsite at the Vancouver office 2 days per week, with additional in-office presence as needed. No additional pre-employment checks are required.
