KPMG’s Business School (KBS) Audit is committed to building the audit professionals’ knowledge and skills to maintain and uphold audit quality in client work. We support their professional development through high-quality, interactive web-based and instructor-led training. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Learning Designer to join our team, with opportunities for career growth to support the development of web-based learning.

What You Will Do
  • Map technical course material (facilitator guides, slide decks, and exercises) and apply instructional design principles to produce cohesive and effective courses (web-based and instructor-led) with measurable outcomes on technical audit and accounting topics, using rapid development tools.
  • Manage course development, ensuring timelines are met and resources are used effectively.
  • Develop and maintain training forms, job aids, and related materials.
  • Collaborate with clients, Subject Matter Experts, and stakeholders to ensure content and delivery align with business goals and learner needs.
  • Test course effectiveness on the learning management system and document findings.
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders.
  • Serve as a technical resource for internally developed and presented programs.

Business needs may require working beyond normal hours or adjusting personal time to fulfill job responsibilities, with flexibility accommodated accordingly.

What You Bring To The Role
  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Instructional Design and Adult Learning.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in eLearning instructional design.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • 2+ years’ experience with Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline).
  • Excellent written communication skills for effective instructional text.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Relationship-building skills and openness to feedback.
  • Programming skills are an asset.
  • Familiarity with other eLearning tools like Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, or similar is an asset.
  • Audio/video editing skills are an asset.

This role requires fluency in English, both written and spoken, to support collaboration with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range

The expected salary range is $73,000 to $109,500, potentially including bonuses. Salary offers are based on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package.
