KPMG’s Business School (KBS) Audit is committed to building the knowledge and skills of audit professionals to maintain and uphold audit quality in client work. The KBS supports professional development through high-quality, interactive web-based and instructor-led training. We are currently seeking an eager Learning Designer to join our team, offering strong opportunities for career growth in developing web-based learning.

What You Will Do
  1. Map technical course material (facilitator guides, slide decks, and exercises) and apply instructional design principles to create effective courses (web-based and instructor-led) with measurable outcomes on technical audit and accounting topics, utilizing rapid development tools.
  2. Manage course development, ensuring timelines are met and resources are properly allocated.
  3. Develop and maintain training forms, job aids, and related materials.
  4. Collaborate with clients, Subject Matter Experts, and stakeholders to ensure content and delivery align with business goals and learner needs.
  5. Test course effectiveness on the learning management system and document findings.
  6. Maintain project documentation and course folders.
  7. Serve as a technical resource for internally developed and presented programs.

Business needs may require employees to work beyond their normal hours. We also support flexibility for personal matters.

What You Bring To The Role
  1. Post-secondary Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Instructional Design and Adult Learning.
  2. 5+ years of proven experience in eLearning instructional design.
  3. 2+ years of project management experience.
  4. Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  5. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  6. 2+ years’ experience with Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline).
  7. Excellent written communication skills for effective instructional text.
  8. Self-starter, flexible, and capable of working independently.
  9. Strong attention to detail.
  10. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity.
  12. Relationship-building skills and openness to feedback.
  13. Programming skills are an asset.
  14. Familiarity with other eLearning tools like Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, or similar is an asset.
  15. Audio/video editing skills are an asset.

This position requires fluency in English, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range

The expected base salary range is $73,000 to $109,500, possibly eligible for bonuses. Salary is determined based on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
