PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and refine high-quality animations, motion graphics, visual effects, and instructional content to create engaging and effective training courses aligned with instructional design principles
  • Build 2D, 3D, and/or interactive animations using industry-standard tools and techniques
  • Develop custom assets, including characters, environments, visual effects, typography, and transitions for use in animation and multimedia projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver animation projects that meet partner preferences
  • Lead technical training projects from conception to production, including leading small peer project teams and collaborating as part of a team
  • Stay current on innovations in instructional design, adult education, and learning tech for engaging training

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma with a preference for bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in instructional design, adult education, or educational technology
  • 3+ years of experience using Storyline 360 or similar software for crafting interactive courses, adept in layers, variables, triggers, multimedia, 360 images, videos, AI voices, animation effects and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) vectors
  • 2+ years of experience in Adobe Suite including - crafting 2D animations with After Effects, Premiere, Audition, Photoshop and building with Illustrator

Management Conductor Program

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
