Position Details
  • Type: Term
  • Duration: May 2025 to April 2026
  • Location: Any NBCC Campus
  • Salary Range: $2,017.00 to $2,818.00 bi-weekly
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in a related discipline (Computer Science, Applied Statistics/Mathematics) or relevant analytical/technical field.
  • Experience in SQL, Python, R, ML.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with Survey Platform (Blue Explorance).

Technical/Professional Skills:

  • Experience in Data Governance, including creating Data Catalogues/Dictionaries, Data Literacy Programs, and managing Data access.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical, communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of cultural competence and diversity.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must demonstrate qualifications on their resumes; other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License is required for travel.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is mandatory.
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Institutional Research, the IR Data Analyst will ensure accurate data gathering, analysis, and reporting to support academic decision-making. Responsibilities include:

Data Analysis
  • Collaborate with teams to establish business needs.
  • Combine data from multiple sources and analyze for patterns and trends.
  • Report findings and visualize data for stakeholders.
  • Enhance data accessibility and usability.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and data validation processes.
Reporting & Projects
  • Generate reports on targets, decisions, and risks.
  • Perform data mining and analysis for projects.
  • Collaborate with external organizations as needed.
Supporting NBCC's Development
  • Participate in strategic projects and reporting.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and respectful team environment.
  • Identify training and professional development opportunities.
