Job summary

Fiera Capital in Montreal is seeking an Institutional Client Manager to support client services for institutional clients. You will coordinate portfolios, respond to data requests, and manage new-account openings with internal teams, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.

You will work with the Institutional Markets team, mentor junior staff, and contribute to process improvements. Fluency in French and English is required, with 3+ years in financial services preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; combination of academics and relevant practical experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years of experience providing client service to institutional clients in the financial services industry.
• Enrolment or completion of CSC is an asset.
• Fluent French and English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the financial industry, investment portfolios and products.
• Proven client service mindset with sound judgment; ability to multi-task with high accuracy.
• Autonomous, proactive, and able to work with urgency.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows tools; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook; Salesforce asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed knowledge of portfolio characteristics to respond promptly to client data requests (returns, products, transactions, administration).
• Oversee opening of new accounts by coordinating portfolio implementations with relevant departments.
• Facilitate modifications in investment policies and ensure updates across systems; liaise with Compliance.
• Collaborate across teams; approach tasks with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Coordinate cash management activities with internal departments.
• Record and update client contacts and related information in the CRM.
• Review and adjust client quarterly reports to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Build presentations and prepare documents for quarterly client meetings.
• Collaborate on projects with the Institutional Markets team; provide back-up to peers as needed.
• Mentor and coach more junior staff.
