Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience for level D; 5-7 years for level A.

Job description

Responsible for the assembly of new or rebuilt crane and/or utility equipment.

The Role
  • Responsibilities vary depending on level attained (A, B, C, or D).
  • Assemble new or rebuilt crane and utility equipment sold by Wajax Industries safely, efficiently, and competently.
  • Be familiar with all crane and utility equipment the company represents and that they are required to assemble.
  • Oversee and work closely with other Installers in a mentorship capacity.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Install electrical components, wiring, assemble electrical power boards, throttles, and controls, and perform testing and troubleshooting.
  • Perform assembly of hydraulic systems, including PTO and pump installations, plumbing, minor electrical work, welding, fabrication, hydraulics testing, and installing sub-frames, devices, and bodies onto units.
  • Assemble bolt-on items, drill, perform basic electrical and hydraulics work, decal units, and prepare units for pre-delivery inspections.
  • Assemble bolt-on parts, prepare parts for install groups, shipping, and receiving.
  • Participate in all required Health & Safety training.
  • Comply with Health & Safety programs and practices.
  • Perform daily duties safely to maintain a safe workplace.
The Candidate

Education: High school diploma and Crane Utility Fleet license.

Work Experience: 1-2 years (D); 2-3 years (C); 4-5 years (B); 5-7 years (A).

Knowledge: Working knowledge of hydraulics; specialized in electrical systems; experience with welding and fabrication.
