Job Description:

The Installation Technician level 3 position is the onsite lead installer of DAS and/or Structured cabling team in the field. This individual reports to the construction project manager for the project assigned and is responsible for all activities on site for a successful deployment. To be in this position, the individual applying or being promoted should have all the skills and experience of technician level 1 & 2. They are required to be proficient at completing the project and providing all the project deliverables required. The Installation Technician Level 3 will be the main on-site customer point of contact and the main on-site individual supervising and directing the other MIS Technicians and Subcontractors.

Schedule:

o Travel within the state of Texas

o Monday - Friday

o Flexible 1st and 2nd shift

Responsibilities:

o Follow direction of the Construction Project Manager

o Ability to represent MIS to the customer in a professional manner while on site.

o Ability to lead and direct Technicians and apprentices in all aspects of DAS installation.

o Able to manage daily installation quality and schedule.

o Able to test and troubleshoot systems installed.

o Able to accept direction, but also able to make good decisions when left to work unsupervised.

o Competent at operation and understanding of all functions of Anritsu Site Master, and fluke test equipment.

o Expert at all Cable Terminations

o Possess a good level of building code knowledge to be able to do a fully compliant installation.

o Proficient in reading blueprints / Design documentation and understanding the different installation components.

o Competent with fiber splicing and fiber optic testing

o Beginning understanding of troubleshooting philosophies and procedures

o Understanding commissioning and tuning philosophies.

o Ability to collect data, pictures, and reports for closeout packages.

o Basic understanding of all MIS Products and Services

o Manage timesheets of team as needed.

o Understanding and working to meet project material and labor budgets.

Compensation: $31 /hr
