Could you be the full-time Onboard Electrical Team Leader in Toronto, ON, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside skilled and collaborative teammates.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring and performing the installation, diagnosis, and resolution of electrical faults in both high and low-voltage systems, contributing to the transformation of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) transit system. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (installation supervisors, project site managers, and design teams), ensure compliance with safety standards, and provide proactive suggestions for process improvements, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of maintaining updated electrical schematics and troubleshooting electrical faults, but also contribute to the development of test plans to validate system modifications.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Ensuring compliance with design documentation and supervisor instructions
  • Maintaining adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and policies
  • Using APSYS tools or templates for risk documentation and mitigation
  • Developing and executing test plans for system validation
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing complex electrical faults on high and low-voltage systems
  • Installing, replacing, and repairing electrical wiring and components
  • Confirming installation readiness and ensuring activities are performed without deviations
  • Reporting risks, deviations, or issues that may impact safety, quality, or performance
All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Technology, Industrial Electrician, or a related field
  • Technical High-School Diploma
  • Experience or understanding of railway maintenance facilities, rolling stock assembly, or similar industrial settings
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and continuity testers
  • A 309A or 422A skilled trade certification from Ontario (desirable)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams
