Job summary

YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Group Wellness Instructor for a part-time role at the Chippewa location in North Bay, ON. The instructor will lead group wellness classes, prepare and choreograph routines, and engage members to promote retention and a healthy community.

Assistance with safety, member tours and relationship-building is expected, along with fulfilling standard certifications such as First Aid, CPR-C, WHMIS, and a vulnerable sector check.

Qualifications

• OSSD or higher required.
• Post-secondary in recreation/fitness fields preferred.
• WHMIS, First Aid/CPR-C and vulnerable sector check required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct safe and effective group wellness classes.
• Motivate clients to attain goals and be a positive role model.
• Recruit members to participate in group wellness classes.
• Maintain communication with clients and YMCA staff.
• Plan, choreograph and train in all areas of group wellness.
• Complete required paperwork promptly.
