Metro Vancouver is seeking an Inspector I (Civil Works Inspector I) for its Water Services Department. This full-time position involves providing quality assurance for construction projects across the region, requiring a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma and relevant experience. Salary Range/ Wage Rate: $38.15 hourly plus 6.25% deferred compensation
This role receives an additional 6.25% deferred compensation on hours worked. The additional 6.25% can be taken as compensation or time off.
Our Water Services Department is seeking an Inspector I (Civil Works Inspector I) who will provide construction inspection quality assurance in the field. Our water and liquid waste projects span the Metro Vancouver region and encompass a wide array of large and small civil works, including construction of sewer and water mains, reservoirs and pump stations. This role offers good opportunities for learning and development.
You are: a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma graduate who is self-motivated and enjoys working outdoors in a construction oriented environment. We are seeking a safety minded and well organized Inspector and have a good working knowledge of applying engineering standards and specifications. You have strong interpersonal skills, value teamwork and good written reporting skills.

NOTE: The Inspector I will progress to the Inspector II level after the attainment of two years of Metro Vancouver experience at this level.
