Overview

Purpose

Based in Vancouver, B.C., you will support the delivery of engineering services through condition assessments and maintenance of maritime infrastructure, specializing in underwater inspections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct above water and underwater inspections of marine structures, including visual assessments and sampling
• Operate specialized inspection equipment and hand tools
• Assess deterioration and remaining service life of structures
• Travel within B.C. to perform inspections as needed

Qualifications

• Unrestricted (preferred) or Restricted Surface Supply Commercial Diving Certificate from DCBC
• Current "Fit to Dive" medical certificate
• First Aid, CPR, Dive Accident Management, and Oxygen Therapy certifications
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather and around water and boats
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

Assets (not required but preferred)

• Transport Canada Small Vessel certifications (SDV-BS, SVOP)
• Marine operations experience and underwater inspection expertise
• Experience operating boats and driving trucks with trailers
