Job description

Job Summary

As an Inside Wholesaler, you will prospect and cultivate new relationships and enhance existing relationships with insurance advisors, with the goal of increasing the sales of RBC Insurance products for one of the territories within the Western region. Only apply if you are Life licensed (LLQP) and reside within driving distance of Vancouver.

What will you do?

  • Partner with Sales Consultant to establish a strategic business plan for the territory with defined sales targets.
  • Proactively contact insurance advisors to gain information and insight into their practices.
  • Establish relationships with marketing staff of key producers/MGAs.
  • Provide insight and sales ideas related to the insurance industry, product knowledge & system training (BIC, Illustrations, Morningstar etc.).
  • Position RBC Insurance products & solutions to prospects & existing clients; as well as identifying cross selling opportunities.
  • Advance the sales process with new prospects by booking presentations and meetings for the Sales Consultants.
  • Maintain contact management system and develop follow-up strategy for newly contracted brokers, thank-you for large cases, etc.
  • Attain weekly metrics.

What will you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Financial Acumen – sound knowledge of financial markets, fundamentals of financial planning.

And/or

  • Strong Life and Living Benefits product knowledge.
  • Understanding of competitive landscape and marketplace.
  • Life Insurance License, LLQP (mandatory).
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Excellent organizational skills – able to respond to inquiries, suggestions, complaints and requests in a timely, courteous & professional manner.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Driver’s license and vehicle mandatory.

The expected salary range for the above position is $50,000 to $85,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payout.
