Role Overview: The Inside Sales Specialist – Renewal & Subscription Sales (RSS) is a hybrid role combining customer success and inside sales responsibilities. The team aims to meet sales quotas while collaborating with Regional Sales Managers and other team members to achieve annual targets. This role requires building renewals, managing asset lists, preparing proposals, and confidently selling our extended coverage and subscription products.

Following the ‘Ross Way to Sell’ principles, the RSS team drives recurring revenue and subscription sales, focusing on customer loyalty and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare renewal proposals and notifications, contacting end users and partners to discuss contracts.
  2. Develop proactive renewal strategies to retain clients annually.
  3. Handle inbound prospect calls and convert them into sales.
  4. Follow up with existing customers via phone and email to assess satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
  5. Advise clients on RossCare extended coverage and subscription products.
  6. Highlight new features, prepare quotes, and discuss terms.
  7. Identify decision-makers within leads to initiate sales.
  8. Overcome objections with a customer success mindset.
  9. Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to tailor sales approaches.
  10. Support sales activities in various territories, including quoting and guiding re-sellers and clients.
  11. Manage pipeline reviews and forecast sales activity.
  12. Ensure accurate order processing and customer data management in Salesforce.
  13. Assist with resolving customer issues related to equipment and services.
  14. Manage sales campaigns and prepare quarterly sales reports.
  15. Maintain and update the prospect database.
  16. Assist with RFP responses and escalate customer issues as needed.
  17. Forecast trends and recommend strategies to improve retention.
  18. Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  19. Coordinate with other departments and support trade show activities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years in a customer-facing role and 1 year in a complex sales environment, preferably inside sales or customer success.
  • Experience in opportunity qualification, account development, and time management.
  • Ability to build lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both in-person and virtual.
  • Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce.com.
  • Excellent problem-solving and objection-handling skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn new concepts.
  • Self-motivated with high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
  • Bilingual in English and French or other regional languages is an asset.
  • High commitment to customer success.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Willing to travel internationally with a valid passport.
