As an important part of meeting this growing demand, an Inside Sales role will assume responsibility for managing and growing their assigned accounts. Representative works directly with customers to provide service proposals, follow up on prospect inquiries, and upselling. Role is responsible for the promotion and sales of Vertiv’s current service offerings to customers through building relationships and generating new business. The Inside Sales position for services offers a generous commission structure as well as much exposure to the business, providing the potential for many outlets of career growth at Vertiv.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet established revenue target within assigned accounts through follow-up.
  • Creates and tracks Customer Relationship Management (CRM) opportunities & quotes.
  • Provides product knowledge and application expertise to select, configure, price, propose specific solutions for customers.
  • Responsible for updating opportunities and customer information in the CRM tool including win/loss/cancellations.
  • Generates weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Secure customer orders and enter orders correctly for invoicing.
  • Provides Inbound & Outbound customer communications (calls and e-mails) and escalates to others for technical support as needed.
  • Increase customer satisfaction by serving as a customer advocate to interact with various internal departments on behalf of the customer.
  • Establish working knowledge of related product lines, both new and existing, by completing company training and on the job experience.
  • Willingness to pivot to other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent (preferably mechanical engineering)
