Who We Are : Carrier Enterprise Canada (CEC) is a national distributor of residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC / R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business-to-business environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. CEC offers customers a wide range of HVAC / R product lines, competitive pricing, best-in-class customer service and valuable, time-saving services that positions CEC as an industry leader. With 36 locations in Canada and over 150+ locations, in 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, there is a location to service our customers HVAC / R needs.

We are currently accepting internal and external applications for the role of Commercial Inside Sales Representative .

In this role, you will focus on supporting the team with growing sales in Western Canada. Providing exceptional customer service levels and showcasing elite value will drive incremental sales and solutions to existing customers in a B2B environment. This position works in collaboration with outside sales representatives with all HVAC / R products and solutions offered, and provides additional support as needed. The position also collaborates independently with assigned customers to create solutions for their HVAC / R needs and consults them through the entire sales process.

The Opportunity :

  • Generate sales related to HVAC / R Products and Solutions
  • Provide technical design and engineering support to clients.
  • Maintain productive relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Support Customers in quoting, take offs, order entry and coordination for parts, supplies, accessories, and equipment.
  • Work with key suppliers on quoting, pricing, and product sourcing.
  • Conduct data mining to identify potential product sales through report analysis, customer communications, and direct collaboration with the assigned customers and their dedicated Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Proactively reach out to new and existing customers clients to uncover opportunities by delivering Carrier Enterprise’s value proposition.
  • Follow up on quotes and leads to close sales deals and achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Develop and maintain competitive information including programs, pricing, and services to help grow and improve CE’s offering.
  • Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for key customers to maximize sales
  • Drive customer education and adoption of CE’s Digital Platforms to streamline and accelerate the sales process while enhancing customer service delivery.
  • Leveraging tools such as Salesforce to document the sales management process.
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.

Skills and Behaviors

  • Post-Secondary degree in Engineering; Technical Diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC Industry experience an asset
  • A demonstrated desire to understand customer needs, provide personalized service and keep customers informed
  • Ability to identify the problem, effectively use resources, generate alternatives, choose and implement a solution
  • Strong business / problem solving skills and strong communication / interpersonal skills

    This pay range is not a gurantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to resposibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining (if any).

    Incentive Compensation : As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Carrier Incentive Plan or a role-specific comission / bonus.
