Job description

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sales activities of the partner channel. The main purpose of the Inside Sales Manager role is to take ownership of internal sales processes and daily quote to order management and provide leadership to Account Managers that support OPI key partners. Focus on strengthening existing partner relationships, while also exploring new opportunities to optimize global market revenue. You will be responsible for a range of activities, from driving the quote process and providing input on direction and functionality of our dealer portal, overseeing the order management process, to fielding inquiries and providing general support to help grow our markets and achieve our overall sales targets. Reporting to the VP Sales and Customer Success, this position will also work closely with the Business Development, Marketing, Operations and the Customer Success teams. Will provide VOC feedback to Product team, as well as the internal IT team to develop systems and processes to support and manage our partners with goal of being easy to business with. He/she will also lead other activities related to the advancement of OPI corporate priorities as assigned. Mentoring and coaching will be provided as necessary in order to advance your position through professional development. The Insides Sales Manager is responsible for the following tasks:

Key Result Area #1:

Drive an increased level of customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Tasks & Activities:

  • Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and accuracy of quotes and orders.
  • Work closely with Channel Partners to understand VOC on Sales Tools used to quote our products and process orders.
  • Work closely and be aligned with other functional areas within the company that impact quote/order management.
  • Define team expectations for response time, follow up, communication cadence, and
  • Create materials needed and assist with the delivery of training programs designed for dealer development and increased self sufficiency
  • Drive monthly review process for key partners, identify partners that are capable and wanting to grow and define development plan to accomplish criteria needed for Tier growth

Key Result Area #2:

Be key player to provide company leadership with insight on pulse of the market for sales, competition, industry trends, and product features and benefits

Tasks & Activities:

  • Work direct with Business Development team and dealers to create sales forecasts and track accuracy
  • Have strong understanding of competitive products and sales tools
  • Stay in touch with the farm and commercial industry and trends driving consumer behaviors
  • Understand customer sentiment for OPI products and services and provide feedback to Product/Leadership Team and help define needs and prioritize opportunities
  • Participate in planning and attend designated industry trade shows

Key Result Area #3:

Provide leadership and guidance to Account Managers.

Tasks & Activities:

  • Train, mentor and develop Account Managers, communicate with team daily and provide real time feedback and direction
  • Conduct quarterly employee reviews for all direct reports
  • Develop career path plan for each Account Manager

Key Result Area #4:

Determine which Key Performance Indicators are critical to define and track success for Inside Sales Team

Tasks & Activities:

  • Create the necessary reports and track forecast accuracy, close ratios for key partners, average time for quotes to close
  • Establish and track quarterly metrics and priorities for self and Account Managers
  • Identify the necessary behaviors OPI dealers need to apply to be more successful and guide account managers to develop those behaviors in more dealers

Requirements & Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education (Diploma or Degree program)

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of managing experience in Customer Service, Sales or equivalent role.
  • A proven track record of working in a customer facing role.
  • Technological aptitude for dealing with both hardware and software
  • Proficient software skills including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • A firm understand of a departmental Profit & Loss statement (P&L)
  • Experience using and maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of a CRM software.
  • Demonstrated experience in taking initiative to improve work operations, processes and overall employee and client satisfaction
  • A strong belief in fostering improvement through coaching.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
  • A flexible approach, able to operate effectively with uncertainty and change.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking in front of small and medium sized groups
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
  • Understanding of farm operations and grain conditioning would be a definite asset.
