Job summary

University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a Pharmacist to join the PM inpatient team with a focus on malignant hematology and immune effector cell therapy patients. Centralized dispensary support for evenings and weekends, including cleanroom shifts, and on-call coverage will be part of the role.

The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to standard-of-care and clinical trials, and support education of staff and students in a high-acuity hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of university degree (BSc in Pharmacy or PharmD) or equivalent.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada is required.
• Active registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A) is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in teaching of students and residents.
• Educate nursing and medical staff on pharmacotherapy and safety.
• Engage in research activities when appropriate.
• Support the drug distribution system and inpatient dispensary operations.
