Job summary

Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres (CATC) is seeking a Nursing Support to provide care that meets clients' supportive, physical, and mental needs. You will assist the nurse on duty, take vitals, de-escalate situations, and support daily activities in Bala.

The role requires empathy, patience, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks. Part-time, permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits. CATC values high-quality care and a compassionate team approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Support Worker or similar field.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification required.
• PSW Certification or nursing program is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients and families.
• Be respectful of the client’s situation and family.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, transfers, mobility assistance, and meals.
• Prepare nutritious meals accommodating dietary needs.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry.
• Work under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse.
• Report behavioral or clinical changes.
• Change non-sterile dressings and administer prescribed medications as instructed.
