We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plastic Injection Set-Up Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining plastic injection molding machines to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role requires technical expertise in mold installation and machine troubleshooting.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate plastic injection molding machines according to production specifications.
• Install and remove molds, ensuring proper alignment and function.
• Verify correct process install for initialization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to set up of plastic injection mold.
• Verify and stage injection molds based on production schedule.
• Provide feedback on maintenance needs on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records, setup logs, and troubleshooting reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.
• Train and assist machine operators on proper molding techniques and troubleshooting methods.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in plastics technology or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding setup.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding machines and mold installation.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Hands‑on experience with mold setups, related tooling, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with robotic automation and auxiliary equipment is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to high temperatures, noise, and machinery.
• Requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• May involve shift work, overtime, and weekend schedules as needed.
