INGENIUM Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated INGENIUM Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for implementation on the Ingenium platform. This position requires a strong understanding of insurance business processes, coupled with technical proficiency in the Ingenium system. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Lead and participate in the design, development, and improvement of insurance and financial products.
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, document, and implement business solutions.
3. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, and translate them into system specifications.
4. Document use cases and user stories and conduct functional integration testing.
5. Identify test scenarios, prepare test plans, and execute acceptance testing.
6. Collaborate with technical teams to implement system enhancements and process changes.
7. Provide post-implementation and production support, including troubleshooting production issues.
8. Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.
9. Identify opportunities to streamline business processes, reduce manual work, and improve turnaround times.
10. Identify areas for improvement and enhancements in new and existing systems.
11. Facilitate change management by addressing issues and potential impacts of system changes.
12. Create and maintain manual and system procedures.
13. Conduct systems training for the business community.
14. Provide guidance and mentorship to other resources, ensuring knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience with INGENIUM projects (implementation, upgrade, transformation, enhancement).
3. Expert-level knowledge of INGENIUM architecture and development.
4. Demonstrated practical understanding of INGENIUM product functionality within business processes.
5. Experience across the entire INGENIUM project lifecycle (inception to deployment and maintenance).
6. Ability to deliver desired business outcomes through INGENIUM and integrated software modifications.
7. Experience with various INGENIUM versions (desirable).
8. INGENIUM expert-level proficiency (required).
9. Pathfinder experience (SME or functional level).
10. ProductXpress working-level experience.
11. Hands-on experience with Windows, Unix, and AIX operating systems.
12. Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
13. Proficiency in one or more software languages and development methodologies, with strong programming and debugging skills.
14. Familiarity with life insurance products (whole life, term, disability, universal life, wealth, health).
15. Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
16. Excellent communication and team management skills.
17. Experience working within an Agile environment.
18. Understanding of COBOL, JCL, DB2, SQL, VSAM, REXX, CICS, and MQ Series.
