A leading technology company is seeking a motivated engineer to join their transformer repair and service team in Ontario. You will handle mechanical engineering tasks, develop tools for repairs, and ensure compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, P. Eng. designations, and 5+ years of transformer experience. Position requires fluency in French and English.

General Information :
Looking for a highly motivated engineer to join our experienced engineering team for the growing business of transformer repair and service in Canada.
You will be responsible for mechanical engineering tasks such as analysis, design, development, test, installation, and service of transformers, while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other pertinent information.
In this position you will be in Montreal, QC or Stoney Creek, ON and will be reporting to the engineering manager.
Responsibilities :
Design and develop detailed material / parts list for transformer mechanical projects (tanks, clamps, cleats and leads supports, cable boxes, …etc).
Design and develop mechanical tools for factory and site repair / refurbishment as required.
Work closely with other engineering staff.
Provide mechanical support to factory and site repair and participate in on site transformer inspections.
Work closely with purchasing for material parts planning and purchase.
Coordinate and help to develop / implement process and equipment upgrades to suit special transformer design manufacturing.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualification : Formation :
Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering is required.
P. Eng. or OIQ Designation is a must.
Experience :
5+ years of related Transformer experience in factory design, factory repair or service is required
Skills :
Speaks French and English
Steel and welding fabrication design
Proficient with computer and software-MS Office
PTC Creo is a plus
Demonstrated self-starter with effective planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to formulate solutions to technical problems.
