Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience as a Project Engineer or relevant experience.

Your new role will be

We are looking for a dynamic and well-organized Project Engineer to join our Engineering Department. This pivotal position is the link between Atlas Copco and our customers. The candidate is expected to execute and manage projects in an efficient manner as well as provide technical and application support to the sales force. This position can be based in St-Laurent (Qc), Quebec (Qc), Edmonton (AB) or Calgary (AB)

The main activities you’ll take care of

  • Execute and manage both pre-award and post-award tasks related to the projects in an efficient and cost saving manner while ensuring timely execution of various obligations to meet project schedules while also managing costs in line with business expectations.
  • Review purchase order and customer specifications to ensure proper execution of the contact.
  • Prepare and supply technical documentation as required by the contract which include, but not limited to, submission and return of approval drawings, final project manuals and / or customized project documentation as stated in the contract.
  • Organize kick-off meeting with sales, vendors and attend project related meetings.
  • Review and submit documents and drawings to and from vendors.
  • Maintain accurate, accessible project records ensuring that contract execution in handled according to company procedures, quality assurance policies and legal requirements when relevant.
  • Manage and interact with various internal functions such as product companies, marketing, sales, finance, logistics and the service department.
  • Provide internal technical product support to the sales department.

What will help you succeed in your new role

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • 7 years of experience as a Project Engineer or any other relevant experience
  • Work experience and knowledge of compressors is required
  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken), fluency in french is requiredfor a position based in Quebec
  • Member of the Order of Engineers or intention to become a member in the next year.
  • Knowledge of SAP , AutoCAD, Microsoft Office .
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple technical contracts is critical.
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively and work under tight time constraints.
  • Knowledge of air compressor , air dryer products is an asset .
  • Mechanical and electrical regulatory knowledge on CRN (Canadian registration number) and CSA / UL / cUL (Canadian electrical approvals) is also an asset .
