Job summary

CareRx Corporation in Oakville, Ontario is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant, Infusion and Compounding to support preparation, processing, and distribution of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications and infusion therapies for LTC and related settings. Works with pharmacists, techs, and care teams to ensure on-time delivery, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pharmacy Assistant Certificate preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Pharmacy Assistant in LTC, infusion, or compounding.
• Experience with LTC medication systems and facility workflows is a strong asset.
• Experience with sterile and/or non-sterile compounding preferred.
• Experience using eMAR platforms and Kroll pharmacy software systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process infusion and compounded medication orders using Kroll, including reviews and changes.
• Coordinate with LTC facilities to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment.
• Prepare non-sterile and assist with sterile compounding per SOPs.
• Perform aseptic preparation in ISO Class 5 environment after competency certs.
• Package medications and coordinate deliveries to LTC homes.
• Maintain accurate compounding, batch, and QA records.
