The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to provide day-to-day support to the operations of the Engineering department, and to coordinate and conduct on-site inspection of water and sanitary construction.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Assist in the review of additional servicing connections, site plan applications, services location inquiries, and will perform data reporting, collection, and maintenance.
- Providing analysis utilizing databases, GIS, and other software, as well as maintaining associated records, conducting research and preparing reports / presentations, as required.
- Managing on-site water and sewer inspections, as built verification, deficiency / issue resolution, issuance of certificates, security releases and assumption recommendations.
- Logging field measurements of water and wastewater infrastructure, as required.
- Preparing and recommending approval with completion of works and security releases, signing Certificates of Substantial Completion and Certificate of Maintenance and Final Acceptance of water and sanitary works related to servicing projects.
- Collaborating with the Town of Innisfil and InnServices Development and Engineering groups to oversee design and construction of capital engineering and development projects related to water and/or wastewater.
- Reviewing commissioning plans to ensure they are sound and followed.
- Maintaining records of activities, inspections, verifications, certificates issued, applications, etc., in the engineering filing system and assisting in records management.
- Performing other duties as assigned in accordance with corporate objectives.

Qualifications & Core Capabilities :
- A College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of infrastructure engineering experience, preferably in municipal services and utility engineering.
- Holder of Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.
- License holder of MECP Water Distribution and Supply License and/or Water Treatment License is preferred.
- Class G Driver's license and reliable vehicle for corporate use, with availability for evening meetings or events.
