This position offers opportunities for advancement into Lead Technician roles, as well as employer-supported technical development through industry training and professional certifications, including AMPP certification programs.

  • Perform visual inspections, field measurements, and condition assessments.
  • Support corrosion investigations, coating inspections, and asset integrity assessments.
  • Identify and report observed deficiencies, deterioration, and potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate field records and inspection documentation.
  • Operate company vehicles and access remote project sites safely.
  • Work closely with technical specialists, engineers, and asset management teams.
  • Follow all project, environmental, and safety requirements.

  • Strong commitment to health and safety.
Assets
  • Post-secondary education in a technical, industrial, utility, environmental, construction, or engineering technology field.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, trades training, and field experience will also be considered.
  • Existing AMPP (NACE) certifications related to cathodic protection or coatings are considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with utility, industrial, or infrastructure condition assessment programs.
  • Experience operating 4x4 vehicles, ATVs/UTVs, and safely towing equipment and utility trailers in a variety of terrain and weather conditions.
  • Experience using digital inspection forms or mobile data collection platforms.
  • WorkSafeBC, First Aid or other field safety certifications.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent travel throughout British Columbia, including remote locations.
  • This position operates on rotational schedules, typically 21/7, 14/14 or 14/7, depending on project requirements and location of inspections.
