Job summary

SA Technologies Inc. is a market-leading IT consulting firm with global operations and a focus on Oracle, SAP, and IBM technologies. We seek an Infrastructure Developer to build and deploy systems for Halogen’s Cloud Management Platform and related SaaS infrastructure.

The candidate will work in the SaaS Platform team, using Spring Framework / Java, Big Data tools like Spark/Hadoop, and an expanding reporting base. 2–3 years of relevant development experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience developing web-based applications with Java/J2EE.
• Knowledge of shell scripting (BASH) and Unix operating systems.
• Experience with JBoss and Jetty; Oracle and PostgreSQL; STS/Eclipse; JQuery, Spark/Hadoop; Nagios plugins/deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy systems for hosting Halogen’s Cloud Management System and solutions.
• Integrate with key SaaS infrastructure components and development components.
• Interface with other Halogen teams pertaining to internal and external solutions.
• Developing in the SaaS Platform team at Halogen using Spring Framework / Java, Spark / Hadoop, and reporting frameworks.

Job Description:

• Develop and deploy systems for hosting Halogen’s Cloud Management System and solutions.
• Integrate with key SaaS infrastructure components and development components.
• Interface with other key Halogen teams pertaining to internal and external solutions.
• Developing in the SaaS Platform team at Halogen using:

• 1. Spring Framework / Java – Code base.
• 3. Big Data Infrastructure – Spark / Hadoop.
• 4. Expanded report base and reporting framework.

Desired Skills and Experience

We expect that the successful candidate will:

• Have a Degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience developing web-based applications with Java/J2EE.
• Have knowledge of shell scripting (BASH) and Unix operation systems.
• Have demonstrated experience with:

• 1. JBoss and Jetty
• 2. Databases – particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL
• 3. STS/Eclipse or similar IDE
• 4. Ideally have knowledge of JQuery, Spark / Hadoop, and Nagios plugins / deployments
