Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced professional to provide on-the-ground commercial management for data center projects. You’ll protect client finances, manage commercial issues, and lead CTM processes across design and execution.

You will coordinate with EPC teams, chair CTM meetings, track cost changes, and incorporate client-driven changes. A background in construction commercial management with 5+ years of experience is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Commercial Management or related field and 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years managing estimating or commercials on large construction portfolios.
• 5+ years commercial management during pre-construction of major projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-ground commercial management to protect client finances and contracts.
• Manage and report all commercial issues to maintain transparency.
• Lead Cost Trend Management (CTM) by spotting scope changes, market shifts and risks.
• Ensure EPC teams understand baseline estimates, scope, and execution assumptions.
• Set up cost reporting at design kick-off with accurate budgets and CTM data.
• Chair bi-weekly CTM meetings with stakeholders; document minutes.
• Update CTM log for cost changes, root causes and review stages.
• Participate in design reviews to track cost changes from concept to design.
• Capture client-driven changes for CTM review and approval.
• Support cost estimation, QA CTM reports, and improve CTM tools and processes.
• Flexible: work mix of remote, onsite at client or Accenture office.

THE WORK:

• You’ll provide on-the-ground commercial management support to ensure the client is financially and contractually protected across all data center projects.
• You’ll manage and report on all commercial issues regularly to maintain transparency and accountability.
• You’ll lead the Cost Trend Management (CTM) process by identifying scope changes, market shifts, and risks impacting project budgets.

• You’ll chair bi-weekly CTM meetings with key stakeholders, drive actionable outcomes, and document meeting minutes.
• You’ll update the CTM log to reflect cost changes, root causes, and review stages for accurate project tracking.
• You’ll participate in design reviews to track cost changes from concept to final design stages.
• You’ll capture and log client-driven changes for review and approval in the CTM process.
• You’ll support cost estimation, QA cost trend reports, and provide quarterly feedback to improve CTM tools and processes.
• Flexible : The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying or related field AND 5+ years of related experience
• 5+ years of experience managing the estimating or commercials on a major construction portfolio
• 5+ years of experience of commercial management during pre-construction of major construction projects

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) full membership or equivalent
• Commercial knowledge of construction internationally
• 5+ years of experience working on construction contracts used internationally
• Excellent communication skills, experience collaborating with all other areas of the datacenter program with an ability to think strategically and build the trust of our construction partners needed to agree very large construction contracts and final accounts

$140,000 - $165,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
