Intermediate Cost Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Create cashflows and estimate final costs for large capital projects.
- Participate in contract phases including development of terms, negotiations, and warranty administration.
- Report on project progress and contract status.
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain schedules for acquisition projects.
- Support project control aspects for capital and operating budgets.
- Monitor cost analysis, controls, and reconciliation for assigned projects.
- Review contractual reliabilities and maintain project control databases, spreadsheets, and systems.
- Develop reports and documentation for project approvals and contracts.
- Complete tasks assigned by management efficiently and timely.
Working Conditions:
- Required in-office presence 2-3 days a week.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or equivalent.
Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with operating and capital program budgets and approvals.
- Knowledge of contract administration principles and project management.
- Understanding of business administration, accounting, scheduling, and cost control principles.
- Experience with MRP systems like MAXIMO and SAP is an asset.
- Proficiency with relational databases and spreadsheets for operational and financial data correlation.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
- Ability to tailor technical information for diverse audiences.
- Conflict resolution skills and positive stakeholder engagement.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Negotiation skills for favorable contract terms.
- Ability to prioritize and manage risks to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a multidisciplinary project environment, both written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a structured environment.
