Project Management III
Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive culture and collaborate effectively with the client’s business units, operational divisions, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication with the client PDT, Technical Advisors, and third parties.
- Support project scope definition, development, and implementation phases.
- Manage consultants’ tasks, work plans, and performance related to the Reference Concept Design and technical documentation such as PSOS.
- Assist the Senior Project Manager in leading the Technical Advisor (TA) in developing Project Agreement Documents for the Progressive Design Build (PDB) Contract(s), engaging with third-party stakeholders like municipalities and transit agencies.
- Coordinate construction activities within CN and GO rail corridors, including site visits.
- Prepare construction plans, agreements, and memoranda of understanding as needed.
- Oversee project progress, analyze current and future activities, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Monitor safety protocols to mitigate risks and ensure policy compliance, initiating improvements as necessary.
- Supervise consultant and contractor scope and quality of work, address issues proactively, and escalate when needed.
- Manage project scope and change orders, including negotiations and impact analysis.
- Identify project issues, risks, and problems, collaborating with senior management to implement corrective actions.
Working Conditions:
The role involves a mix of remote work, onsite at client locations, or in an Accenture office or center.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years in Project Management, with experience in heavy rail, civil, or subway projects.
- Knowledge of construction, engineering, and finance within heavy rail design and construction, especially in CN and GO corridors.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Licenses or Certifications:
- Recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Skills and Competencies:
- Experience in collaborative environments and high-performing work cultures.
- Knowledge of Progressive Contract Delivery Models, DBB, and P3 is advantageous.
- Understanding of construction management practices, claims management, and experience with municipalities and transit agencies is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Strong risk management, leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, escalate risks, and work independently or collaboratively in a disciplined environment.
