The University of Lethbridge Information Technology Services department is seeking applications for the position of Infrastructure Architect with the Network and Telecom team.
Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing special network, telecom, and infrastructure projects.
This is a casual position located at our Lethbridge campus (casual hours up to just less than half time). While flexible or hybrid work options may be possible, this position will typically require work on the Lethbridge campus.
This casual position will be a key member of the network team responsible for implementing Cisco SDA and related technologies in the data centre design and network. The Infrastructure Architect provides high-level leadership and planning in implementing Cisco SDA, ACI, and related technologies. This position is the senior technical resource, providing advanced network analysis in complex situations requiring greater skills and experience. The role requires teamwork, quick thinking under stress, and an eye for innovative solutions.
Starting Salary Range: $40.02 – $50.34 per hour
Core Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Computing Science or a related discipline and several years of experience in network, telephony, system administration, or related fields.
The University of Lethbridge primarily uses Cisco products across the campus. The candidate must be knowledgeable in Cisco products, including SDA and ACI. A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
The incumbent must be highly organized, attentive to detail, possess effective communication skills, and have experience managing a high volume of diverse activities under tight deadlines. Additionally, the candidate should be an innovative self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, troubleshoot problems quickly and logically.
