As part of a new leadership team within Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects (I&CP) Canada’s Healthcare and Buildings (H&B) business, the Associate Director Infrastructure Advisory (Procurement) will play a crucial role in strategy and delivery, positioning us as a leader in Canadian infrastructure capital planning, procurement, delivery, and asset management.

The Associate Director will support the Vice President in deploying a nationwide strategy aligned with I&CP’s five-year business plan and Accenture Canada’s growth objectives, integrating with broader Strategy & Consulting practices across health and public sectors. Responsibilities include:

  • Procurement and Program Management: Establishing capital procurement services as a managed service, focusing on vendor performance, contract administration, process optimization, and operational efficiencies. Providing expertise in public procurement policies, evaluation frameworks, transformation strategies, data governance, and knowledge management.
  • Capital Program and Project Strategic Planning: Offering expertise in establishing and overseeing capital programs, supporting project inception, pre-planning, and transformation initiatives such as project management systems, controls, quality, and knowledge frameworks.
  • Business Case Strategy: Developing methodologies for benefits management, benefits assurance, and informed decision-making for infrastructure projects.
  • Commercial Management: Providing expertise in contract packaging, procurement, risk analysis, financial structuring, and maintaining relationships with infrastructure financiers.
  • Project Controls and Construction Management: Elevating commercial competencies, managing complex claims, and contract analysis.

Leadership within I&CP and the Healthcare and Buildings team also involves:

  • Supporting integration of strategy and consulting practices with infrastructure programs.
  • Providing insights and opportunities for service transformation, market research, and intelligence.
  • Augmenting capabilities in contract negotiation, procurement frameworks, and public sector procurement best practices.

Supporting digital transformation initiatives involves:

  • Developing data-driven opportunities for capital planning improvements.
  • Applying digital solutions in procurement and contractual processes, including digital twinning.
  • Advising on asset management capabilities aligned with technological advancements.

Work Location : The role includes a mix of remote work, onsite client engagement, and office presence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in procurement operations/support for major public infrastructure projects.
  • At least three years of industry-related experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, with emphasis on strategy, infrastructure, procurement, or related fields (preferred).
  • Recognized certifications such as PMP, PEO, CPCM, CIPS, CSCP, CPSM, or equivalents.
  • Experience with Canadian procurement legislation and vendor management frameworks.
  • Proven digital procurement platform implementation experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic skills, with a results-driven, energetic approach.

Bonus Points :

  • Experience in transaction structuring for multi-phase procurements.
  • Experience with complex procurement and contract documentation.
