Job summary

FirstOntario Credit Union seeks a Manager of Information Security to lead the IT security operations centre, implement new security solutions, and oversee policy development, baselines and procedures. You will coordinate vulnerability assessments, audits and threat intelligence while guiding the security team and collaborating with business leaders to raise enterprise security levels.

The role requires 5–7 years in IT security with leadership experience, strong knowledge of security frameworks,

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in computer science or related field with 5–7 years in IT security
• 2–3 years in a leadership role
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA, GIAC are assets
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and data classification

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise security architecture and awareness training programs
• Develop and maintain security documents (policies, standards, baselines)
• Assist in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning
• Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits
• Monitor logs and reports; respond to security incidents and escalations
• Manage Information Security Operations team; coaching and performance reviews
• Coordinate deployment of new security solutions and maintain baselines
