Description

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology Technician supporting Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK. The primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems and networks, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting hardware and software, providing technical support, and maintaining network security.

  • Set up new computer systems, including hardware and software installations.
  • Configure network equipment like routers, switches, and servers.
  • Install and configure operating systems and software applications.
  • Connect workstations to networks and servers.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Provide technical support to users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems.
  • Respond to user requests and resolve issues related to computer systems and applications.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation.
  • Perform regular system backups and data recovery procedures.
  • Monitor network performance and security.
  • Implement and update firewalls and other security measures to ensure network security.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Upgrade computer systems and networks to improve performance and security.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and support of new software and features.
  • Train users in new hardware and software.
  • Communicate with other IT staff to resolve complex issues.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and security threats.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification or relevant network certifications.
  • Three to five years of experience in help desk support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to multitask and meet project deadlines.

Expected Pay : $35.61 per hour
