Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours
  • Weekend and afterhours support is required based on production issues and project timelines
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple facilities within Canada for project rollouts
  • Must have a valid G license and a reliable vehicle
What you will do
Primary
  • Lead and manage complex technology projects within warehousing, distribution and logistics, with a primary focus on WMS implementations, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget and timeline.
  • Manage the clear definition of scope, deliverables, success criteria and work breakdown structures for projects with all levels of team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the proper project team is built, resources are aligned to project needs, and team members are supported and held accountable for delivery.
  • Proactively develop, direct and monitor the progress on a project by managing the plan and resources.
  • Manage changes to scope associated with the project in a timely and suitable manner. Group changes into releases and manage expectations of stakeholders. Ensure the impacts of a change are understood.
  • Create and execute on an effective communications plan.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal and external teams, fostering a positive and productive working environment for successful WMS deployment.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise to implement tools/templates/techniques necessary for consistency in the delivery of project deliverables where they don't already exist.
  • Develop metrics to measure project performance and success during and after the rollout.
  • Lead and guide project personnel, and collaborate with application team leadership to coach and support the development of junior team members as needed.
  • Build strong business relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success and management of expectations.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the business domain they are operating in and the systems/solutions they are supporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and quality standards throughout the WMS implementation lifecycle.
Secondary:
  • Use process mapping skills to clearly document business processes or project processes.
  • Use analytical skills and knowledge of systems and processes to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources (as sampled above), reconcile conflicts, identify gaps, perform root cause analysis, suggest improvements and arrive at value driven solutions.

  • Keen self-starter who is interested to learn new technologies and enjoys leading change.
  • Someone who relishes autonomy and can self-initiate to cut through ambiguity.
