Job description

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst for a contract role with one of our clients in Canada.

Duration : 06+ Months

Location : Montreal, QC

Key Responsibilities :

  • Experience in a large complex banking organization or major consulting organization acting in a technology business analyst role.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of general technology environments (platforms, organizational structure and culture, teams involved in the successful completion of technology initiatives, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Good database / SQL skills : much of the work is focused on databases.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and influencing skills; ability to communicate effectively with technology and key business representatives.
  • Self-motivated and can work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experienced in Agile scrum or Kanban lifecycles.
  • Able to multitask across a number of projects.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications : Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Technical background in integration, development, and / or infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Smarsh, Digital Reasoning, Veritas, Actimize or similar Communications Archiving and Supervision Tool would be preferable.
  • Experience in the financial services field, with emphasis on banking / Compliance technology.
