Architect, Applications & Data Integration

This role will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and evolution of Northleaf’s data integration and cloud application infrastructure. Working closely with business stakeholders and technical leadership, the role will architect and implement secure, scalable, and reliable Microsoft-based solutions, driving operational excellence through the automation of complex data flows and delivery of best-in-class web applications.

The role will be responsible for :

  • Design and architect scalable, secure cloud-based solutions for complex data integration and business applications using .NET (C#), Blazor, and Microsoft Azure services
  • Hands-on development of web applications and automation of data pipelines
  • Oversee end-to-end data lifecycle : ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, and data quality
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL Server databases, including schema design, stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Champion best practices for cloud infrastructure and application development, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements
  • Own and enhance Azure DevOps practices, including reviewing change requests, designing, and implementing CI / CD pipelines
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Support incident management and root cause analysis for both data and application issues
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for technology and process improvement

Qualifications

  • Proven experience architecting and building, optimizing and maintaining business-critical solutions using .NET (C#), Blazor, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure cloud services
  • Advanced MS SQL Server skills, including deep experience with database design, query optimization, indexing, troubleshooting, and maintenance in high-volume or regulated environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in key Azure services Data Factory, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Functions, Azure App Service, and Synapse Analytics
  • Strong background setting up DevOps and CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Experience translating business requirements into effective technical architecture
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability, with a track record of driving technical excellence
  • High attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years’ relevant experience in technical architecture, data engineering, or software development, with significant hands-on .NET, SQL Server, and Azure work
  • Practical exposure to financial services, investment management, or other regulated data environments preferred
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (such as Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Data Engineer) are strongly preferred
  • Skilled at building consensus and trust across business units
