Must Have :

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience in a customer service role, including answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, providing documents to applicants, and referring callers to appropriate areas.

Nice to Have :

  • Work experience creating and using advanced Excel skills such as Pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform
  • Experience using CXone

Description :

An Information Officer is responsible for providing courteous, timely, and accurate information to callers regarding various programs via phone and email. The role involves :

  • Ensuring clients understand requirements and information to empower them to achieve their objectives.
  • Maintaining professional decorum when dealing with various caller issues and providing appropriate referrals to government departments and agencies.
  • Logging client contacts in ServiceNow for statistical and reporting purposes.
  • Anticipating program changes and reacting with agility in a change-heavy environment.
  • Standard hours are 8 : 15 AM to 4 : 30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays observed by the province.
  • Flexibility for 24 / 7 shift work is required, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Equipment Requirements :

The Province will provide the office space, computer, furniture, and office supplies for in-person work. The fixed rate must include all overhead and costs to perform the services for the duration of the contract.
