Location: Kelowna, Prince George, Surrey, Victoria (British Columbia)

Salary: $67,330 to $72,544

Work environment

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), E Division, Data Quality Unit, is looking for talented and skilled individuals who are detail-oriented and passionate about supporting operational policing to join our dynamic team. This position is located in a law enforcement environment which includes regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers.

Intent of the process

The anticipated intent/result of this process is to indeterminately staff (on a full-time basis) three positions.

Information you must provide

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following essential qualifications:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a law enforcement or regulatory environment.
  • Recent experience providing management with functional advice, guidance, and recommendations.
  • Experience using MS Office tools including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint or similar.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of Government of Canada Information Management legislation and policies.
  • Knowledge of RCMP operational data systems.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices and processes.
  • Knowledge of crime statistics reporting programs and practices.

ABILITIES & SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and interpret legislation and policy and make recommendations.
  • Ability to create training and reference material and deliver training.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.

Conditions of employment

Various levels of security clearance/reliability are required for these positions, including some positions requiring an RCMP Top Secret clearance. Willingness and ability to travel by motor vehicle and air, including into remote communities (occasionally). Possession of a valid Driver's Licence.
