Reporting to: Manager of ICT Client Support

Description:

HWCDSB is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Co-op Student to join our ICT team. This is a valuable opportunity to apply your technical skills while supporting educators, students, and staff in a collaborative environment. You will contribute to meaningful projects, develop practical IT support skills, and help enhance the digital learning experience across our schools.

Duties include:

  • Preparing and configuring hardware and software for deployment.
  • Performing system imaging and software installations.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Providing user support and training on Windows 11.
  • Updating Helpdesk tickets accurately, including asset information.
  • Managing work assignments and priority tickets via the Helpdesk system.
  • Training staff on HWCDSB endpoint devices and software.
  • Escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Collaborating with team members to meet project milestones.
  • Supporting Audio-Visual equipment across school board networks.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Projects:

  • Windows 11 Hardware Refresh Rollout
  • iPad and computer system configurations and deployments

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related post-secondary program.
  • Understanding of Windows OS and hardware.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to handle confidential information maturely.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 10kg.
  • Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.

Salary: Minimum Wage plus 4% Vacation Pay
