Context

Within the Digital Workstream of the Project, the Information & CDE Manager serves as a strategic digital leader responsible for orchestrating the organization's integrated information ecosystem across a major infrastructure project. This pivotal role oversees the comprehensive Common Data Environment (CDE) - a unified ecosystem comprising BIM, GIS, EDMS, Collaboration Portal, and PMIS (Project Management Information System) platforms - ensuring seamless digital collaboration, information integrity, and compliance with international standards.

Missions/Main Duties

Integrated CDE Management

  • Ecosystem Integration & Platform Orchestration: Develop and optimize an integrated CDE with standardized interfaces and data exchange for a unified project information source.
  • Governance & Workflow Optimization: Implement data governance policies and create efficient cross-platform workflows with automated checkpoints.

Advanced Information Management

  • Information Strategy & Schema: Align information management strategy with project goals and develop metadata schemas for effective retrieval and integration.
  • Quality Assurance & Security: Use automated processes to ensure data integrity and compliance, and apply security protocols with role-based access.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Digital Adoption

  • Change Management & Training: Lead digital transformation, system adoption, and provide training for effective CDE use.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Management: Act as liaison for information management practices and convert stakeholder needs into technical specifications.

Digital Innovation & Technology Integration

  • Systems Integration: Integrate BIM, GIS, EDMS, and PMIS for a cohesive digital ecosystem.
  • Process Optimization: Automate workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processing.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Standards & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to project and industry standards like ISO 19650 and maintain compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Audit & Risk Mitigation: Conduct audits to identify improvement areas and develop contingency and recovery plans for critical assets.
Profile/Skills

Training: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Construction Management, or related field (Master's preferred)

Years of experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in information management, digital collaboration, or CDE implementation within complex infrastructure projects.

Technical competencies:

  • Certifications & Experience: Hold professional certifications in Information Management (ISO 19650), BIM Management, or Project Management (PMP, Prince2) with experience in large-scale infrastructure projects ($100M+).
  • Digital & System Integration: Knowledge of digital twin implementation, emerging technologies, and expertise in system integration, API development, and data exchange.
  • Information Management & Standards: Demonstrated expertise in ISO 19650, configuring multiple information systems (BIM, GIS, EDMS, PMIS), and implementing information management protocols.
  • Data Governance & Architecture: Strong understanding of data governance, information architecture, metadata management, and advanced knowledge of CDE platforms like Oracle Aconex and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • BIM, GIS & Asset Management: Understanding of BIM environments, geospatial data management, and asset information management for Digital Twin development.
  • Data Analytics & Security: Experience with business intelligence tools (MS Power BI), data visualization, and knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection.
