The Scotiabank CyberSecurity Operations Center (CSOC) team is responsible for detecting, monitoring, and investigating threats. We coordinate key programs impacting all divisions within Cybersecurity Operations (CSOps) and Information Security & Controls (IS&C).

The Role

Reporting to the Director, Cybersecurity Operations Centre, the Senior Manager, Cyber & Data Investigations leads the bank's enterprise and IB security investigators in reviewing, assessing, and remediating security and data events. They utilize their knowledge of the business and a strong background in security operations to ensure thorough responses to the bank's global network and data security investigations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead security investigations and coordinate response efforts.
2. Develop and train security analysts, investigators, and responders.
3. Stay informed about emerging threats impacting the organization and customers.
4. Collaborate across organizational units to resolve complex technical and data issues.
5. Communicate effectively about issues, problems, and project statuses.
6. Provide security advice to mitigate information security risks and data leakage.
7. Manage multiple security domains and projects, from large to simple.
8. Work with various business lines, IT, and control functions.

Qualifications

1. Advanced communication skills in English; Spanish is a strong asset.
2. At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing threats and security controls.
3. Experience with security reporting, data flow diagrams, and visual presentations.
4. Experience with threat pattern and behavior analysis frameworks.
5. Experience with threat mitigation reporting, red team assessments, SOC, and device management.
6. Developed security programs against advanced persistent threats (APT).
7. Deployment and maintenance of SIEM and NGFW solutions.
8. Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
9. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC are advantageous.
