Job Posting - Informatica CDI Engineer Job Description

The Informatica CDI Engineer is a technical leader in our Data & Analytics commercial data engineering team. Responsibilities include the design, build, optimization, and maintenance of experiments, prototypes and products across Four Seasons Informatica Platform.

The CDI Engineer will use modern and innovative technology to help business partners realize actionable insights and value from Four Seasons enterprise data platforms. This includes but is not limited to the design and build of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes by developing custom data integration pipelines.

The Engineer will be a valued member of an internal Data Engineering capability working together to discover to define requirements, use cases and outcomes. As a member of the IT Delivery team, the Engineer will build, configure, secure, migrate, optimize, and refactor Informatica platform solutions which include Ingestion, ETL/ELT, Storage, Data Lakes, and Data Modelling.

The candidate can work with all levels of the organization with an ability to understand and translate institutional knowledge into technical solutions. Strong service, communication and problem-solving skills are key.

This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Manager, Data Engineering. This role involves interactions with internal executive stakeholders and project sponsors, technical operations and development teams, Four Seasons IT, end-user contracts and product users. Externally, the role will interact with various Four Seasons partners and data solution providers, Microsoft, and source data providers.

CDI Engineering - What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop and optimize data integration pipelines using Informatica tools.
• Integrate IDQ (Data Quality), CDGC (Data Governance) and RDM (Reference Data Management) with on-prem and cloud systems, datalakes, warehouses.
• Knowledge of Cloud Data Governance and Compliance principles, including the creation of domains, data lineage, business glossaries, and compliance monitoring within IICS.
• Implement and automate data workflows for metadata synchronization and governance.
• Debug and troubleshoot workflows, data mappings and API-based integrations.
• Ensure data quality, profiling and governance through effective metadata ingestion.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing and performance testing of data pipelines.
• Monitor and optimize integration performance, addressing scalability and reliability concerns.
• Dimensional modelling experience is mandatory.
• Adoption of best development practices for batch and stream processing.
• Managing all work in Jira including but not limited to story creation, defect resolution etc.
• Documentation of the work in Confluence.
• Identify opportunities for new architectural initiatives and make recommendations for increasing scalability and robustness of platforms and solutions.

• Proven experience integrating Informatica with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of data lineage, business glossaries, and compliance monitoring in CDGC.
• Familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, TestRail, Helpdesk Tools, and Microsoft Visio or similar software.
• Experience with GIT hub or Azure DevOps.

What You Bring

• 5-7 years of experience in Informatica Data Integration (PowerCenter, IDMC, IICS).
• 5+ years of IT industry experience with data-related projects.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in ETL development, data modeling, data warehouse design, and data migration projects.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Relevant Informatica certifications (IDQ, IICS, CDGC) preferred.
• University or higher degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science or Technology.

This role will be a Hybrid working model, requiring 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario.
