Qualifications

• Basic ECE certification from a BC-recognized program is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificates are required within 30 days of start date.
• A current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with Vulnerable sector search is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and creative programming directly to the children.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and families.
• Work with the team to create a safe, supportive environment for staff and families.
• Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate programs based on YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
• Ensure active supervision and smooth transitions between play areas.
• Use Weemarkable to provide daily parent communication.
