Job summary

Kibbi in Victoria, BC seeks an Early Childhood Educator to support preschool development and daily learning activities. You will assess development, tailor learning plans, supervise staff, and collaborate with families to nurture growth in a safe, engaging environment.

The position requires an ECE certificate or higher, a Bachelor's degree, and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience. On-site work only, with adherence to licensing regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• ECE (Early Childhood Education) certificate or equivalent.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years experience in child care preferred.
• On-site work only; familiarity with licensing regulations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assess children’s development and tailor learning plans.
• Develop and implement programs supporting physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.
• Maintain daycare equipment and safety protocols.
• Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers.
• Communicate progress and concerns to parents and supervisors.
• Lead engaging activities: stories, songs, crafts, field trips.
• Order supplies and manage classroom resources.
• Encourage creativity through art, music and drama.
• Support healthy eating, dressing and toilet routines.
• Observe for learning or behavior issues and document observations.
